Status Multiple casual roles, no guarantee on set hours per week.

Mō te tūnga | About the role

You will be part of a small fast paced team that plays an essential part of maintaining the Canterbury District Health Board Facilities. The team provides exceptional cleaning services 365 days a year, across both day and night shifts. There are 3 casual roles available, based in Ashburton Hospital.

You will be responsible for:

  • Completing all cleaning tasks to a high standard
  • Ensure daily schedules and task lists are completed in set time frame
  • Working alongside other cleaners to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Matching service requirements to the clinical needs
  • Maintenance of equipment and operated according to specifications
  • Utilise the correct chemicals and dilutions

We are looking for a reliable, hard working and flexible candidate who is able to bring their passion for cleaning to the CDHB facility. This role will suit a candidate that is looking to help make the Hospital and hygienic and safe space for our patients and whanau.

Your skills will include:

  • High level of Patient confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Experience as a cleaner, particularly within health is preferred but not essential.

Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.
